This is transpariency in government? This LDC was formed and filed before the Legislature even met to discus the LDC bylaws. This is the ultimate in government coruption!

How can the LDC be filed before the Legislature approves it?

How about showing us the bids for Golden Hill.
Now that would be transparency!

Tell us who is in the running to take it over.
Now that would be transparency!

Tell us how how much Golden Hill is really worth!
Now that would be transparency!

I could go on and on....and so could and should you!

Transparency? Who knew what and when about about this LDC? Who purposely withheld information from the Legislature? Isn't that worth looking into? Maybe some sort of dereliction of duty?

Thank you Mr.Auerbach. We heard you on the radio yesterday and have a better understanding of the issues. Now we know that the county executive has been plotting this for months and has literally shoved it down the throats of the legislature. It's apparent that the entire sixth floor and the county attorney have been conspiring to pull off this deficit financing attempt they call the LDC and imposing a hardship on the residents and employees of Golden Hill

Rule #1 of Public Financing. Do not fund operations with bonds or by selling assets.
It is like someone selling their house or taking a second mortgage to pay the oil bill. Hein wouldn't know that because he is a "banker", not a true public servant.

Auerbach gets credit for at least showing us something. Hein would bury it as far as he could. He does not want the public to know the truth.

I hope he enjoys his time as President of the County Exec's. I hope it expedites his exit from Ulster County.

It is obvious from the time Hein took office his plan was to get rid of Golden Hill.In the public eye he continually stated he had no opinion, yet behind closed doors he was putting all the pieces together to get rid of the nursing home. It was all within the county budget to redecorate Heins office to the tune of 160,000 dollars when he came into office. It is ok that he has 3 deputy directors who he dictates his wishes to for them to carry out. His staff add up to One Million Dollars in salary per year! Now I believe there is a duplication of services. How many Henchmen does anyone need?? It is appauling to witness the power that this man has It is time for Ulster County to stand up for what they believe their county should be. Tomorrow the legislature will vote on the very important life changing decision on Golden Hill Health Care Centers future. Not only will the employees of GH be effected by this decision but the senior citizens both present and future. There was a time when there was no place for those indegent citizens to go and the Poor House was established. Many feel as though they do not feel the county should be responsible for their care. Your tax dollars will care for the citizens of Uls Co if they are housed in or out of this county. Your tax dollars will pay for them to be in private care or public. The difference will be in padding the pockets of the Corporations that own them or having control over the spending in our county owned nursing home.
