I hope the County isn't spending much money on that Lego project on Ulster Heights Rd. It looks pretty risky to build over such a deep ravine with such heavy Lego-like concrete blocks. Adding weight to the top without building up from the bottom seems to be inviting disaster. Re-opening that road is a low priority. What happens if a tractor-trailer goes down when it inevitably collapses? Does anyone besides the County accept the liability? Penny-wise and pound foolish.
The People's Watchdog.
The mission of the Ulster County Comptroller’s Office is to serve as an independent agency of the people and to protect the public interest by monitoring County government and to assess and report on the degree to which its operation is economical, efficient and its financial condition sound.
